While guidance counselors may have the best interests of the student body at heart, the fact is they simply don’t have the time to give one-on-one attention to each student. As a result, their advice and recommendations are based on more general practices and not necessarily what would give a specific student the best chance at success given his specific circumstances. At Halcyon, we aim to supplement the high school counselor’s guidance by filling in the gaps that are specific to our students.
Unlike traditional college counseling services that provide ready-made packages, Halcyon Strategies provides completely private and personalized coaching and mentoring. This enables us to understand each student’s aspirations and motivations, so we may determine the schools that best fit the student. Furthermore, because the student has built a foundation of solid study habits, discipline, and hobbies, they are well-primed for life in university and beyond. Our open door policy also offers students and parents peace of mind knowing that help is always available, as opposed to only during scheduled sessions.
In addition to college preparation, we also offer graduate school preparation services, such as exam preparation for the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT.

We encourage all our client students to pursue interests and hobbies outside of school Not only will this help our students develop into well-rounded individuals who lead happy and balanced lives, but it also showcases the students' passions and enthusiastic energy that are of interest to universities.
Based on a student's expressed interests, we help find meaningful trips, projects, and summer camps to nurture and develop skills beyond the classroom. Depending on circumstances, we may also accompany the student in order to ensure the most enriching experience possible.

Immigration & Relocation Services
In addition to our educational services, Halcyon also provide immigration assistance for families who wish to move to the United States in order for their children to pursue an American education. Our resident attorney works exclusively with our family clients to provide top-notch service.
In instances where a family may send just the child over to the United States for studies, we can assist the family in locating an appropriate boarding school, host family, or other accomodations. In all instances, we are in constant contact to ensure a smooth transition.
